The Seven Days of My Creation: Tales of Magic, Sex and Gender.

this is the personal story of a veteran international investigative journalist at work, taking on the White House, the CIA, Mossad and the KGB, the later when working with Panorama, the BBC flagship program, all this after gender role transiting some 30 years ago while working with Aborigines, a transsexual transiton which she describes as the most enriching experience she has had, giving her a fascinating insight into gender politics - although it also made her vulnerable to such things as the Sun sending journalists out to Australia to hunt down the secrets of her sex life for its p3 and Mother Teresa of Calcutta coming to visit her to save her soul.

Glitter and Greed uses the diamond as a window into a world where profits and wealth dominate over co-operation and mutual responsibility. It is the story of a decade long investigation that took the author to five continents - and from the arctic to the deserts. Every chapter weaves a powerful story about another aspect of diamonds.

The Seven Days of My Creation: tales of magic, sex and gender. The author, an international investigative journalist, tells for the first time how her life was affected by her being born hermaphrodite. She deals intimately, humorously and at depth with male and female sexuality and identity - drawing on her personal experience, as well as much research. The Sun newspaper tried to expose her on its page 3, and to demolish her reputation at the BBC. She was nearly killed by an assault - carried out by thugs who were seemingly motivated by being told she was 'not a woman'. None of this stopped her investigations of governments and corporations. (But the author thinks writing this book the scariest thing she has ever done!)
